Pros

They provide really good benefits. They also provide the option for flex accounts, and matching 401k. Provides training opportunities. You will learn a lot working with the smart people here.

Cons

Not enough team building activities. Not enough communication between teams. Long hours and stressful/aggressive schedules. Compensation is not very competitive given the cost of living. Also it may be hard or impossible to go to work and school at the same time, since you have aggressive schedules to meet. If you happen to be going to school while working here, expect that your career growth will be very slow during the time you are in school. You will not be given critical task and assignments which allows you to shine/move forward in your career path.

Pros

The company has Flexible hours, so it makes it easy to do the work whenever you want to. The compensation includes also Good package, which includes a good salary and health care. The work is also interesting, as you are always working on new technologies which are yet to come out. There is also strong encouragement to enhance your techie-skills. They have monthly classes on the hot communication topics which allow you to learn and keep up-to-date with whats going on. Qualcomm also organizes various events every now and then such as "Summer on the Lawn". Also, being in San Diego, the weather is always awesome and always a ball to hang out on the weekends.

Cons

Unforeseen issues that come up and have to solved immediately

Pros

Great benefits. Every building has a gym and most managers are nice

Cons

Too large a company, I used to feel like a small cog in a big machine Qualcomm lacks structure. If you have worked at a process driven company it takes time to understand how things function. Qualcomm is also an old boys club. If you know someone higher up or have been there for years and are well connected you will not have a problem, otherwise you are going to remain where you are. if you stay at QCOM for several years then eventually some of the stock options will be worth money.
