      QCT has not future if Apple doesn't stay to be customer

      Pros

      Generally, employees are treated with respect. The benefit package is excellent. Qualcomm's engineering organization is very good.

      Cons

      Qualcomm's business outlook doesn't look good. What if Apple diversifies to Intel? What if Apple starts making its own baseband chips? It is hard to understand what Qualcomm looks like 3 years from now.

      Long hours with minimal work life balance.

      Pros

      Good benefits. Able to work alongside some of the brightest engineers in the field.

      Cons

      Work life balance is nonexistent. Stocks, bonuses, and merit increases get worse each year. More hours are expected each week without the compensation to make up for it. People are getting burned out.

      Good salary, with time as employee grows lot of stock options are also provided Some departments are really good for core research. You can actually file patents Great company to be in semiconductor electronics Rotation policy of allowing to work across multiple teams

      Cons

      Too large a company, Some departments can get really monotonous. strict deadlines(may be due to severe competition in semiconductor industry), always some work in pipelines
