Great benefits and profit sharing. Very cutting edge technology and tremendously intelligent workforce. Exellent work life balance. Ridiculously good weather.

Cons

San Diego is expensive. Big company makes it easy to get lost in the shuffle. Long time mediocre employees are sometimes promoted to a level of supreme incompetence.

Great benefits, smart people, industry leader, well-run company. This is a great place if you want to be in an established, efficiently-run company.

Cons

For engineers, it can be difficult to expand to non-engineering areas, since this is discouraged. Also, Qualcomm will no longer be as dominant in the future as it was with CDMA, but it's diversifying its portfolio.
