      Many great employees who are very smart and collaborative, but holes in senior management

      Pros

      Good work-life balance, set own schedule with clients, depending on position, can be very autonomous, which depending on one's personality, could be good or bad, depending if one is a self-starter or not. For me, it was good. Many smart people who were easy to work with.

      Cons

      VP attempting to run a particular segment of the business simply wasn't a good fit for the role. Interpersonal skills were not adequate enough to even comment on.

      Pros

      Not very challenging tasks, as I was in the software maintenance team, we would mostly fix bugs in the erp software. Great work life balance

      Cons

      Not challenging thus making you less competitive with respect your counter parts in other organisation

      Good starting place to get an initial position in the software industry

      Pros

      Competing with other software companies means they know of QAD, even if it isn't a threat. This exposure and being able to get the required experience in the industry (five years) isn't as pressured as in a bigger, more competitive company. Do you "apprenticeship" here, then leverage that to move on.

      Cons

      Very little opportunity to move within the company, especially if you're good at your job. Personal growth or a career is unplanned for. If you want to grow from a starting position through to management this is not the company for you.
