Pros

Hybrid work model with 4 days work-from-home and 1 day in office, which offers good flexibility. Workload is generally balanced, allowing time for personal commitments. Office environment is comfortable and professional; no major issues when working from office. Teams are mostly cooperative and supportive in day-to-day tasks. Decent learning opportunities depending on the project and role. Company policies around working hours are reasonable.

Cons

Recent changes in company hierarchy have impacted decision-making and communication. Roles and responsibilities feel less clear than before, leading to occasional confusion. Increased dependency on approvals due to restructuring, which can slow down work. Some inconsistency in management approach after the reorganization. Career growth and visibility have become less predictable post hierarchy changes.

Thank you for your review and for your contributions over the last 3 years. We are glad to hear that our hybrid/virtual-first approach and supportive team culture are serving you well. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is a priority for us, even as we navigate significant business shifts. Regarding your concerns about hierarchy and decision-making: We hear you clearly. As you know, QAD is currently navigating a "critical period of rapid transformation" following our acquisition and leadership changes. Moving an organization of our size from "Reactive Firefighting to Proactive Execution" inevitably creates temporary ambiguity and friction as roles are redefined. Please know that clarifying these processes is a top priority. We are actively bringing in new operational leadership specifically designed to act as "Unblockers" and "System Architects". Their mandate is to streamline the "Rhythm of Business" , reduce approval bottlenecks, and ensure we prioritize "speed over perfection". We appreciate your patience as we build the infrastructure to support our Cloud and AI future. We encourage you to keep sharing this feedback internally so we can identify exactly where those approval bottlenecks are occurring.

QAD is Slave employer

Pros

Nothing. None to say as of 2025

Cons

The CEO, Sanjay, treats employees like slaves. He forces them to work 24/7, and once the job is done, there’s no praise or recognition—instead, he fires them. This guy lays off the very people who built the product. We were dependent on those experts, and now we’re not sure how we’ll move forward. He’s trying to loot the hard-earned company, ignoring its future while filling his own bank account with company money.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take reviews like this seriously, as they highlight the intensity of the environment during this phase of our company’s evolution. We acknowledge that QAD is currently navigating a critical period of rapid transformation. Our shift from "Reactive Firefighting" to "Proactive Execution" —including major initiatives like "Operation Bug Kill" and our aggressive integration of AI across our specific segments —has understandably created a demanding pace. Our leadership’s goal, including Sanjay’s, is to modernize the business and transition fully to Cloud/SaaS to ensure QAD’s long-term viability and success. While this requires difficult structural decisions to ensure we have the right skills for the future, we deeply value the contributions of the experts who built our foundation. We do not condone a culture of burnout, and our aim is to move toward a model of working "smarter" rather than just harder. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your workload concerns specifically. Please consider reaching out to HR directly or utilizing our internal feedback channels so we can address these pain points constructively.

Pros

The people. The original owners and previous CEO did a great job of creating a nice culture and everyone got on really well

Cons

They were sold a few years ago and things slowly got worse but it was still a decent place to work. A new CEO was hired this year and he is ruthless. He'll casually drop callous comments on all hands calls talking about laying off staff. He comes across as a deeply unpleasant person and has destroyed the culture that took years to create Staff no longer have a work life balance. There's now an expectation that people will work longer hours and even on weekends. There's no recognition for this extra work. There are mass redundancies globally. Entire teams who have put in extra hours for months are being let go with no thought to where their workload will go. There's no handover plan either, so the staff left behind will be scrambling to figure things out by themselves Large customers are leaving the company. It really has the feeling of a sinking ship. 90% of the issues are driven by the CEO
