Toxic environment

Pros

It used to have a good reputation across an impressive client list

Cons

Toxic environment with a constant cycle of HR investigations across the offices. An accepted culture of bullying by some senior figures, which have only been kept out of court with continual payoffs.

Pros

There are quite a few good and loyal members of staff that are good to work with Free training Good office locations

Cons

Constant redundancies. Getting rid of numerous skills coaches and operational staff on an almost weekly basis (pre-covid) Do not care AT ALL about staffs feelings, opinions or wellbeing despite having posters all around their offices claiming this Too much focus on money Treat both apprentices and staff like numbers on a spreadsheet and only care about the monetary value Ignorant, rude and flat out useless HR and senior management teams that never answer direct questions Work their staff to the bone. You are only seen as a good member of staff if you work well above your contracted hours and some managers actually suggest and encourage working above your hours to get work done Blatant favoritism of certain staff that are untouchable despite their incompetency and lack of experience Made HUGE and RASH redundancies in COVID blamed it all on COVID despite them announcing this about 3 weeks into lockdown so clearly planned in advance (400 members of staff) and then advertise for the exact same roles 2 months later High and unmanageable caseloads for Skills Coaches so learner has a poor time on programme and when the learners feed this back the staff are blamed After cuts are made existing staff are expected to do the work of 2 people

They slipped up

Pros

I'm sure there are benefits to progressing on from this place including good training and experience, as it seems like there's a high rate of employment here.

Cons

Unfortunately I didn't meet the requirements for this training but I was known AFTER I moved in and spent so much money. They didn't reimburse me with my travel all the way to Manchester from London, even though they slipped up and wasn't allowed to train me. The people who handled this situation wanted to get me out of the building as quickly as possible without asking questions as to how or why I even got to this stage. I spent a lot of money to come here, and I even got a transfer from my pub job and switched my gym, which I'll have to switch back and takes time. I have a third in my degree and I understand they are following rules but to pretend like all this was my doing is completely out of order. Unprofessional and just a bit cynical to be honest. I had sent my recruiter a picture of my degree and he should have stopped me from there on, but he led me to believe my life was going to change. Most terrible experience of my life so far as it crushed my soul and I sat outside crying for an hour in front of the building. I really wanted this to happen.
