Pros

- Relaxed Atmosphere - Most trainers are very friendly and knowledgable about their area - The training is very comprehensive when it comes to covering the fundamentals of programming and software development

Cons

- Training is unpaid for 3 months (offered private accommodation in Manchester or a small bursary) - If you quit after the 4 week cooling period but before the end of your two year contract, hefty fee of £12k for 'training purposes' - During the training period it is unlikely that you will actually receive any formal accreditation, you may however sit an examination for an accreditation while on placement with a client. - The salary isn't competitive; you may be placed in an expensive area like Surrey or London which a small bonus of £60 per week on top of your annual salary of £23k. - The training does not present £12k of value in my opinion.

Pros

I truly love working at QA. Yes, it is hard and past-paced but I feel that I am truly contributing to the good of the business and get recognised for the hard work I put in. It is exciting to work for a business that is so ambitious and is willing to invest in the business to make it successful.

Cons

Car park in Slough.

Pros

Personally, I had a great time during training. I didn't come from a programming background but the training allowed me to understand the concepts and work up towards the more advanced stuff. This may be training but its also a job and you have to go into it like it is an actual job. You will get so much more out of it. Ask for help, ask for advice and the excellent trainers will give it to you. It's an incredibly fun place to work as the people there are really nice and helpful, namely Olivia and Arezu, who both go out of their way to make sure the trainees are comfortable and enjoying their time, you can also go to them with problems and they'd be happy to help.

Cons

Occasionally the training/work can be boring but that's really the nature of work. You'll enjoy some things and dislike others, either way you have to keep working. Its happened before where you might get left in the dark about where you could end up after the training, but that also depends on the clients they have lined up as well. Overall, perfect 5/7
