Pros

Might be good for someone who don’t have any experience in sales so don’t know any different.

Cons

Monitoring all your move, you call when you told, you eat when you told and everyone leave on the dot.

Hi - I am sorry you were an unhappy leaver. I do not want to jump to any conclusions given that I dont know you and it is hard to determine the specifics of your situation with us. However, based on your comments I wonder if this is a case of bad job fit? As a manger myself, I know that sometimes unhappiness and resentment of a job by staff can arise because that person and the job are the wrong fit. So it isnt that the job that is wrong or the person that is wrong, it is simply that product sales doesn't work for you. One of the reasons I am wondering if this is the case for you is because I know we tend to hire a lot of people into their 1st job as a sales account execs - particularly in Slough and then train them up. If this was indeed your 1st job or one of your 1st jobs then it may be that sales just isn't for you. One of my first jobs was in sales and it is very target-driven and management require you to throw 100% into the hours that you work to drive up the numbers. The pay off is the commission that can be earned, the knowledge you learn and the progression and earning potential that comes with career progression. It is also a supportive team environment which sees staff rallying together - working hard but having a good time too. I have a lot of friends and colleagues for whom this works fantastically well. They like the rigor and the structure and find the clear rules and management style helpful because the expectations of you are really clear. Pros

Good benefits and high bonus opportunities, could be a good job and company.

Cons

Sold the role as an Account Manager but more of a telephone monkey. Very much into micro management. Certain Sales teams manager in Glasgow have no people skills and should not be in the role. There are some good people there however sad that so many people leave due to being misold the role and some poor sales managers. Too aggresive on their approach with their customers.

We are a fast-paced business and that is great at opening up opportunities for people to stretch themselves and get involved in new things. I encourage you to speak with your manager about the wide range of skills you have. It may be that they are overlooking the fact you have newly acquired them and a timely reminder may be the nudge they need to be able to have a think about how you may be able to use them to support the business. Your point about pay reviews is one that it is difficult to comment on generally without knowing the detail of you and your role. We aim to pay staff fairly for what they do, ensuring we consider experience levels and market rates when recruiting. The recruitment market is often seasonal and varied and that means that at times there may be other companies willing to pay more for a certain role but all of it is relative. We are proud of the benefits we offer to our staff and offer a competitive salary alongside the opportunity to work in a fast, dynamic and exciting business with a host of other benefits. Again I encourage you to speak to your manager directly about your situation if you feel it is something that is demotivating for you.
