Pros

Very comprehensive training Good variety of technology Charismatic trainers Good work place Positive work vibe Pool table *For those who drink* beer fridge

Cons

Little to no communication, until latest possible moment sometimes. Very quick, very steep learning curve. If you miss one week then you will be very behind in work. Strict about punctuation.

Pros

There's free drinks on a friday, and even then you can't have too much fun because god forbid you'd enjoy yourself after a week of hell whilst not being paid.

Cons

As mentioned, you're not paid a penny if you choose to stay in the 'luxury' apartments which are full of bedbugs and unwashed bedding. You are NOT guaranteed a job. The recruiters have a pitch they have to abide by, most of which is a lie. If you decide you don't like the job, you'll be charged £12,000. This isn't negotiable. They've charged people who've had to leave due to family deaths for god sakes. You don't get to pay it back in instalments either (another lie you are told). Ask the recruitment manager all these taboo questions and be sure to record it. Even if you get through training - chances are they wont have a client for you so you'll sit on the bench (this is where you sit at home on £650 a month which is essentially illegal) until they find you a job. During this time you can't look for another job or you'll be charged £12,000. The best way to judge a company is how they treat their permanent staff. Well, when the senior recruiter stinks of alcohol and is falling asleep at the desk with NO regard for the graduates or their futures - what does that tell you? There is NO progression. Graduates can (and often will be) on the £23.5k starting salary for the whole 2 years. If you have skills in coding you are very valuable to the industry. TRUST ME. You can and will get a job somewhere that will value you, pay you well and progress you the way you deserve. QA Consulting will do none of this.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that you feel so negatively about the business – the fact you feel this way shows we have let you down along the line and we are determined to fix this. Some of the points that you have made in this review are common to one of other recent reviews on this site. We are aware that we had a number of issues that were negatively affecting our consultant community. The internal investigation we launched following the feedback we received from Glassdoor has meant we have been able to identify key issues and put actions in place to address them. You will see Stuart (Managing Director of QA Consulting division)’s response to other reviews, and in these he runs through some of the findings and specific action points he has taken to address issues. I hope you feel assured that your feedback has been heard and I am just so sorry that these issues were not identified and addressed in time to ensure your time with QA was a good and positive one. If you wanted to speak through any of the points in your review then you can call or email Stuart or myself directly (mary.sansom@qa.com or stuart.martin@qa.com)

Pros

Excellent learning/work environment. Very helpful trainers and staff. As an employee of QA, you have access to all of the course material, allowing you to improve and learn beyond your job scope. Consistent support from day 1 of training, which continues in to deployment. Front door is next to a tram stop, so great accessibility for commuters.

Cons

Each topic can ramp up in difficulty fairly quickly, so there may be a extra focus on self studying from home if the trainee is struggling
