      Ok benefits, pay is good, nice coworkers

      Cons

      Lack of sufficient and effective training, toxic work environment, unmanageable workload. Upper management doesn't listen to staff complaints. High turn-over.

      Pros

      The best thing that I can say about my time at this company was working with bright, talented, and supportive co-workers.

      Cons

      There were a lot of cons at this company. I prefer not to write a grocery list of negative comments - and if you read the other comments on this site mine would be in line with those. I will say that upper management lacks true leadership skills and they allow middle management to get away with a lot of bad behavior, almost to the point where it seems encouraged. There is a lot of negativity at all levels, for many different reasons.

      Pros

      If you are in upper management or a squeaky underperforming wheel you will be rewarded to no end and can do no wrong.

      Cons

      Expect 1% raises and no upward movement. If you start in the lab they will move heaven and earth to keep you there no matter your experience or abilities. You will have to move from department to department at the same job grade level just to keep your pay remotely close to that of new grad hires... and even then its still low for the field.
