Pros

Better benefits than Eton/LabCorp, large fancy Christmas party hosted by IQVIA, pre-COVID there were activities throughout the year (Chili contest, Halloween activities, Christmas activities), best Lab Week ever (if you are lucky enough to have the time to participate), fitness reimbursement, covered prescription safety glasses, yearly bonus based on the company's performance (2 - 5% of your salary), health programs offered via IQVIA, clinic within IQVIA building for yearly exams and colds, some breakfast provided during 4th quarter, appreciation awards that can be redeemed for gifts

Cons

Lots of pressure to stay late and push tests through, unreasonable turn around time expectations, expected to go go go constantly, rush rush rush, difficult to find time to take 15 minute breaks, lots of manager drama within one of the teams, drag feet with promotions, don't expect a good raise unless many people leave within a short period of time, if you're not in the "boy's club" you are a nobody, protect/keep toxic managers who have been with the company years, higher-ups brag about beating out other companies for projects, employees leaving in droves

Cons

Everything is your responsibility as setup - all errors get traced back to setup no matter what Training is insufficient. There is too much to teach and all the experienced people are promoted way up or have left. They will give you a crash course then overload you and then discipline you when you make mistakes. PMs will make your life hell Clients will make your life hell You cant do your work in 40 hours. People either learn to work 12 hour days or they quit. Everyone you work with will be doing this so it will seem normal. No vacation time. No sick time. Impossible to take time off due to workload. Clients know they can complain to upper management and get their was so they will complain until they get a discount or expedited work. The culture is very unsettling. You either learn to throw people under the bus or it happens to you. Every week people leave this position. They cant hire fast enough to fill the vacant roles.

Pros

-Lots of intelligent people that are willing to help you learn and grow -Growth opportunities within -Lots of parties (Christmas, Halloween, chili cook offs, etc), though, depending on the department it is hard to enjoy them -Good trainers with plenty of opportunities to prove yourself -No shortage of free food

Cons

-Very clique-y. Expectations to "hang out" and network if you want to advance -A bit of a "boys club" (pranks, dirty jokes, who you know not what you know) -Can be hard to succeed without a strong supporter within the company -High pressure/high stress. Lots of demands to excel
