Pros

An important way to build your resume, and a great place to start your career in accounting, finance, or management. You will make many professional connections, both accountants and industry leaders, from client work (which really helps when you're ready to leave PwC for a happier place, and trust me, that will happen.) And sadly, you learn how to appreciate the little free time you have.

Cons

You sell your soul, work-life balance is just talk, and work opportunities are assigned by who you know (so no matter how much you want to work on something, you may not get it because you're not close with the manager on that project.)

Pros

PwC is a world renown company. Every year, this company receives a ton of accolades noting that is one of the top companies to work for. It is one of the top picks for new graduates. The company offers travel opportunities, benefits, and the freedom to work on your own time. It truly is a good company to work for.

Cons

Work life balance is encouraged but if you participate in it, you are rated against your peers who didn't participate and fall short when promotions/raises are given. In addition, I noticed that there are cliques/ groups of people that always eat together, work on the same clients, etc. and they appear to get better clients, receive promotions, and raises. If you are not part of that group, it is much harder for you to be seen and much harder to prove yourself. Lastly, there is a definite lack of diversity at the management/partner level. At the associate/Senior Associate level, there is a diverse group of people (latinos, asians, whites, blacks, etc). At the management/ partner level, there is 80% white males, 15% white females, and the 5% is split between the minorities. There is a lack of support, coaching, and mentoring in this area. PwC is not doing it's part to ensure that the minorities are treated fairly, and encouraged in their career. This will help to ensure that minorites stay to reach management and partner levels.
