Pros

PwC is a world renown company. Every year, this company receives a ton of accolades noting that is one of the top companies to work for. It is one of the top picks for new graduates. The company offers travel opportunities, benefits, and the freedom to work on your own time. It truly is a good company to work for.

Cons

Work life balance is encouraged but if you participate in it, you are rated against your peers who didn't participate and fall short when promotions/raises are given. In addition, I noticed that there are cliques/ groups of people that always eat together, work on the same clients, etc. and they appear to get better clients, receive promotions, and raises. If you are not part of that group, it is much harder for you to be seen and much harder to prove yourself. Lastly, there is a definite lack of diversity at the management/partner level. At the associate/Senior Associate level, there is a diverse group of people (latinos, asians, whites, blacks, etc). At the management/ partner level, there is 80% white males, 15% white females, and the 5% is split between the minorities. There is a lack of support, coaching, and mentoring in this area. PwC is not doing it's part to ensure that the minorities are treated fairly, and encouraged in their career. This will help to ensure that minorites stay to reach management and partner levels.

Pros

The best reason to work for PwC is the people that make up the company. PwC chooses the best and the brightest and they are the main reason that PwC is such a great workplace.

Cons

The downside of working of working at PwC as well as any other public accounting firm is the lack of work/life balance. This industry is extremely competitive and is client focused and thus requires significant time commitments from employees.
