Pros

Great place to start your career.

Cons

Build a network fast, the sooner the better. It's all about who you know in order to get promoted. Putting in the hours and submitting quality work, will distinguish you from your peers, but at the end of the day who you know is very important. They also like to recruit individuals with strong communication skills, this is definitely not overlooked at PwC.

Pros

Great Career opportunities, many chances to learn from the experts about the technical and emerging issues while also building valuable core knowledge concepts. Many other chances to travel and learn from different service arms of the firm.

Cons

The competitiveness of employees on the same team, which is often made worse by office politics. Overall, a team atmosphere of completing work and serving the client is often absent while many try promote themselves. Even though they tout the respect of a personal work/life balance on a firmwide level, many times this is disregarded as it is handled on a local (office) basis.

Pros

Opportunities abound at PwC if you look in the right places. For the most part, raises have been fair, meaning they've met my expectations or exceeded them. The Company is doing its best to balance the needs of its clients as well as its employees. The professional feel of the offices is standard across cities and countries. Of all the Big 4, I believe that PwC is doing the best in terms of treating its employees right (although ever group is a little bit different).

Cons

The leverage model is inverted, meaning the higher you rise in the Company, the more you are expected to give in terms of time and effort. Although you are awarded financially, the opportunity cost is having a life outside of PwC.
