Pros

Good vibes in the workplace on the ground

Cons

Don’t invest in people. Micromanage the gym teams. Won’t work with it’s people to find solutions (our way or the highway). No flexible working arrangements available. No (real, honest) care for employee wellbeing.

Pros

Company seems to be run well at the top end Decent facilities Large overall member base

Cons

Very high rent Pays minimum wage which gets swallowed up by rent Very tight budget means no overtime available Tight budget gives the gym a very "cheap" feel for staff especially considering the high rent Company prefers to offer "perks" instead of paying a decent wage Not enough leads provided to PT's Management expects you to thank them for doing their job Income relies completely on PT's getting their own clients, basically a 100% commission job so when it's quiet or you are in a low income area there is a danger of not earning.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear of the challenges you’re experiencing and would like to thank you for feeding this back to us. We shall ensure that your feedback is heard by the right people, in the aim of improving our support for team members. Particularly in terms of lead generation, and business support, this is something we care passionately about, to allow Personal Trainers to succeed with their PT business at PureGym. We would suggest that you reach out to your Regional PT Trainer, or take a look at MyPTZone, which is our dedicated resource internally for webinars and more practical tools to support PT Businesses. We hope this helps in the meantime, and thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We really appreciate all feedback we receive, as this allows us to improve. It looks like you may be a colleague working with us now, in which case we’d love to hear more about your experiences and try and address your concerns. Our Head of People is Lisa Sandys would be happy to hear your concerns – please feel free to reach out to her for a confidential discussion. Thanks also for your suggestion for Head Office teams to get out in gyms more – it’s always helpful to hear feedback first hand, so is something we will certainly pass on.
