Possibility of promotion is easy. training is superior. benefits for part time associates. long term job stability. ultra flexible hours if needed. professional, gigantic company that follows all national laws. This help us little people

Cons

Most managers are rude and lazy. (maybe because they got burned out) no longer provide dollar extra on holidays or sundays. High pressure job around certain times of the year.

Get paid to chat up football, and anything else with 100 people a day. 10 min break every 2 hours.

Cons

On your feet for 8 hours. It gets redundant, and tiresome on your body.

Pros

Benefits even at part-time, including access to 401K, stock plans, medical, dental, even life insurance for you and your loved ones. Also Publix is very incorporated into the community and itsprograms such as United Way, March of Dimes, etc.

Cons

Part-timers don't get time/half for working holidays like other businesses give... which is annoying. Also, as a part-timer you aren't eligible to move up into management positions.
