There is always someone in every Deli who makes everyone else's lives miserable. That's most places, but it doesn't help you'll probably be sweating, aching, and your shoes will have lunchmeat and cheese stuck to it. Corporate is an uncaring beast akin to Wal-Mart, and all store employees hate them, even the store managers. The CEO is hated by pretty much everyone who works for Publix.

Expect to work 7+ days in a row especially if you work 40~ hours a week. You'll also be expected to work extremely quickly in an environment that will cause you to sweat. It's near impossible to get full-time and will require you to work well over a year in order to be considered. The deli will always have the worst customers who will have you bend over backwards for them and will immediately berate you for any slight mistake or anything that they might take offense to. Expect to stay way past close, because customers will come in past close and shop well past close over an hour at times.
