Pros

Decent pay and advancement opportunities. Yearly 8-12% stock given for free based on previous year salary. Good PTO and sick time accrual. Good 401k. Stock dividends paid out quarterly. Company cares about the customer and will do whatever they can to help customer find products in store or order it for them from warehouse. Managers usually are good at training new associates.

Cons

Management will talk about you behind your back to other managers and associates for even the slightest misstep. You must be able to throw 55-65 cases per hour consistently. If you are a team lead like I was you are expected to do the managers job for them. You are supposed to force associates to do their job, but don't have any power to take disciplinary action. Managers and especially team leads must work overnight 10pm-6am or 12am -8am either scheduled or last minute if upper management feels that it is needed. It is mandatory. You bleed green whether you like it or not. In recent years management lacked the ability to hire quality associates so it was more and more difficult to get people to do their job the way management wanted them to.

Pros

1) Free lunches 2) Brand Name

Cons

1) Terrible HR policy control for H1Bs. Associate cannot login from home country for worst case scenarios which can impact their families abroad , loss of pay or termination. H1Bs who are joining the firm make sure you understand this especially in Covid like situations 2) GC EB3 processing for qualified lead engineers by default which will allow you to get stuck in queue for years 3) Immigration team lacks qualified resources and they least care of the concerns and very poor communication. 3) Low salaries as per industry standard 4) Upper Management is non technical and they are not in sync with latest industry practices in processes and also technologies. 5) Growth is limited unless you don't care and retiring soon

Pros

Great for students and kids looking for a flexible schedule.

Cons

Poverty wages from a company that claims to care for its employees. Management at the stores I worked at are largely unmotivated due to the fact that it's nearly impossible to be fired. I've heard of people LITERALLY being caught having sex in the dairy fridge and recieving nothing more than 3 day suspension for having sex near food that we sell to customers. Management has no desire to help others progress because they have no desire to progress themselves. 7 years of being one of the most trusted and talented employees in my department got me nothing. While I begged for full-time work some older full timers were closer to being incompetent liabilities rather than useful and productive members of the team but there are simply no remedies to remove these people to free up spots for those who want to progress. They come in, get their 40 hours, and clog a system that is already slow and laborious.
