Pros

Providence does a great job of presenting strong metrics externally, but I believe there’s an opportunity to share more transparent data that reflects the real caregiver experience. This would help build trust and drive meaningful improvements internally.

Cons

Employees are seen as numbers, not professionals. If control can be bought through automation or outsourcing, they’ll pay the price—regardless of the impact on outcomes.

Pros

Best leaders I’ve ever worked for across the system and I’ve worked under at least 8 in my 10 years, not including the numerous Execs I’ve supported but didn’t report to.

Cons

Due to the strike in OR and all the RIFs, it’s a scary time to be working here when you don’t have a medical degree. I know my Execs are doing everything in their power to keep RIF at a minimum, and I haven’t heard an inkling that my job is at risk, but when you’re seeing lay offs all around you for non-patient facing positions, it makes me feel like my position can be expendable if need be.
