Pros

Mission driven, non- profit organziation with a legacy of providing services for the poor and vulnerable for over 160 years. I work for a great leader & team, with work schedule and work location flexibility. I love my job and I'm proud of the good our organzation does in the communities we serve.

Cons

As an executive working for a mission driven non-profit, I'm not paid the large salary and bonuses I might expect in a for profit environment. But the work and the environment more than make up for this difference.

Pros

Good salary Range and Good availability of positions Friendly coworkers and are able to function with Good autonomy Can shine my light without fear of repercussions

Cons

Working for Providence is extremely fast-paced. It seems like there is system change after system change, with hardly time to get used to it before it changes again. Management changes fast also. I think educational benefits are bad; we do not get any continuing education paid for.
