Pros

Very good benefits, excellent pay, a lot of great people do work at providence. Good work, life balance for some, depending on the department, for others a lot of overtime and weekend work.

Cons

There is confusion in management, a tremendous amount of pressure to meet unrealistic goals. This is translated into a tremendous amount of pressure on admin support, impossible to achieve agreement with calendar management. 30 to over 50 meetings per director per week is the norm. in addition to conference call and room scheduling, as well as travel that is constantly changing at the whim of upper management..

Pros

Always hiring, everything is on fire, toxic work place, bullying, zero interest in employee attrition, can become a Supervisor in 2 weeks (you'll be among the most experienced there), so much turnover no need to remember anyones name, they onboard so many people that its swift, high patient acuity, not a liveable wage so many positions available!

Cons

Computers are worn out, their cheap version of Epic doesn't work for Providers/non-Providers (i.e., the Provider needs to physically find and ask any other person (CNA, RN, MA) to close out of that patient's chart before any change can be made to the patient's chart) it's a wonder anything gets accomplished by the time the Provider waddles back to their chair EPIC has logged out and someone somewhere certainly has logged into that patient's chart - repeat all day every day, Residents get harassed to rationalize quitting as they are sh*t on for 110 hours per week; failed marriages/quit medicine/burnout/whatever. But hey these quarterly earnings went up 0.3%! I loved it because the senselessness was like being on a sitcom.

Pros

None, and I'd rate 0 stars if I could

Cons

Never worked, but I feel obligated to share how impersonal and disrespectful the interview process went for me. I've been asked to interview for two positions there, and both were atrocious. For the first interview, I was emailed a link to schedule my interview, and after doing so, I was sent a confirmation email, but it did not contain an email address to a human should issues arise. I needed to reschedule my interview, and thus was not able to. For my second interview, an email address for an HR rep was included. I hopped onto my online interview at the scheduled time, but the hiring manager did not arrive by ten minutes past that time. I clicked the link in the confirmation email to reschedule, and after rescheduling online, I emailed the HR rep to let her know that nobody arrived and I'd rescheduled. I received no response to that email. Two days before my new interview, the interview was cancelled with no explanation as to why. Saying that this was irritating is an understatement, I will never consider Providence, and I have shared this horrendous experience with so many friends and family.
