Pros

Volume of jobs available, locations throughout the area. Decent pay ranges.

Cons

Do not care about their employees, terrible culture. HR does not take discrimination, bullying or harassment complaints seriously. Benefits are disappointing compared to other healthcare organizations. Lack of part time RN jobs make it hard to have a family and continue to working for them.

Employed is better than unemployed

I am not even religious and I can contend that the worst thing that happened to this "non-profit" is when the last nun stepped down from the board last year. Since this, Providence has regrouped as an aggressive, for-profit like organization that passes the burden onto its employees. Pay is much lower than other Portland Hospitals and employee morale is even lower. Do yourself a favor and works for one of the other hospital groups in the Portland area.

clueless upper leadership seem to think hiring more dir level jobs will turn company around , except no one left to do the actual work
