I Had a Neutral Experience

Pros

Free insurance Generous amount of PTO (new hires start with 20 or so days) and paid holidays Decent pay Consistent feedback on performance with advice on how to improve Free lunch many days (Customer Care was always permitted to get lunch from other departments's parties, meetings, ect.) Agreeable coworkers Independent work (you never were blamed by management for something that wasn't your fault, nor did you have to depend on someone else to do your job) Everyone who had the same job title was equal (there was no way to give the "good calls" to individuals who have been there the longest amount of time. No one could pick and choose which interactions to take.) Although I never experienced this or watched any coworkers experience this, we were consistently told changing departments was possible if we were unhappy. I am not sure how easy this was to do or if it was even possible.

Cons

Some of the policies were difficult to explain to customers or did not have the best interest of the customer in mind. You need to explain in detail decisions made by other departments and rarely can you transfer the call to the specific department. Certain team leads were unpleasant to work with and seemed annoyed by questions. Many company decisions were made by people who do not have to deal with the black-lash from customers. Every single live online webinar event that was advertised crashed at at least one point during the event, which caused a wave of complaints, to which we had no response.

Good place for a job, but not for a career

Pros

Great benefits, decent salary, good work environment, easy hours. Most everyone in the office is good to work with.

Cons

Little or no opportunity for advancement; most promotional opportunities are filled from outside (many are not even advertised internally). No reward for individual performance; annual bonuses are company-wide based on organizational results. HR gives lips service to employee development and advancement. This is a professional membership organization, and while members are treated extremely well (as should be the case), employees are second class citizen. The objective of PMI is to promote the project management profession and its members' careers (which, again, it does well), but does not advance the careers of its employees.
