Lack of leadership, inconsistent management policies

Pros

Your team members are the ones to count on and are great to work with. It is the person you work beside that make it ok to be here.

Cons

Depending on who you get for a manager, you will either like it or not. There is no consistency across the company as it relates to working from home and yet are expected to be on call and work from home if there is a problem during off business hours. You have people promoted to managers who are left to figure it out and the staff under them pay the price. You have managers who have policies for one or two staff and different ones for others. HR says they have an open door to help work to resolve issues between employees and managers but do nothing to resolve the issues and just say work it out with your manager and leave the employee hanging. Career paths are very limited and there are not many opportunities to move around.

Lost Focus

Pros

Good people work there Made huge strides in data analytics over time Compensation is good

Cons

Unreasonable time demands placed on employees. Management is insensitive to work/life balance. Since going public, the hospitals are no longer partners, but a revenue stream. Focus on changing healthcare is lost and bottom line is all that matters

Pros

Autonomy to assist members with wide array of PI initiatives and in developing subject matter content. Broad scope of work allows for involvement with cross-functional teams/business units. Work with member hospital teams from C-suite to frontline staff.

Cons

Expected to manage multiple complex projects with limited resources (I.e. Pull your own data and analyze for opportunities, become subject matter expert including conducting research and best practices , develop PI program including structure and implementation, Project management). Lack of access to SME Physician/R&D team/evidence based research for developing programs' content. Leadership does not effectively communicate strategic direction of company. Promotions are not based on performance but more on who you know.
