      Pros

      You'll know your work has a direct positive impact. There is a culture of knowledge and resource sharing among affiliates

      Cons

      Seniority is valued over skill set Too much of the clinic workload is dumped on the lowest paid center assistants. Just about everyone works unpaid overtime to keep up Zero work life balance - people run themselves into the ground due to unrealistic workload expectations - the burn-out rate is alarming. Extremely meeting-heavy, often meetings are poorly structured and much time is wasted.

      Pros

      Everyone at the national office and all affiliate locations nationwide are mission aligned and truly care about the work they are doing to help people who need it across the country. I've never seen a better group of mission aligned people working in a single place. Everyone is kindhearted who works there: from the CEO, CIO, right down to the security desk. Also, there's lots of great opportunity for networking with outside partners who are fully on-board with PPFA's mission and goals: Facebook, Google, Twitter, Pandora, etc.

      Cons

      There is a lack of professional growth available due to limited resources and upper management not following through on plans for promotions and major projects. Overall, the office is short staffed digitally speaking. Also, upper management frequently hires friends of theirs, even though they may not be the best fit for the organization overall and in turn, have negative effects on the organization. Often times PPFA is moving 3 steps forward, then 2 steps back.

      Pros

      Impressive, smart and savvy group of people running and working at all ranks of the company. Everyone believes in what they do. The work you're doing there is for the greater good. So many of the clients you're indirectly impacting go to PP for their check ups. It's a great cause and mission.

      Cons

      Unrealistic expectations. Constant pressure (partly from external factors). People just aren't happy there. People leave constantly. Work-life balance is nearly impossible.
