Pros

Very dynamic with high challenges ahead with technology, also the flexibility with the remote work now with pandemic helps to integrate better with all the teams. The philosophy and culture of Ceibal as support for education helps you to grow not only as a professional also as a person.

Cons

If you are looking for high rates of salaries this is not the place.

Pros

Learning how video conferencing can work, meeting wonderful hard-working classroom and remote teachers. Making a difference in children's English learning experience.

Cons

Overworked, overburnt, endless paperwork, overtime is not paid (includes training, creating slides and fixing LPs, answering classroom teacher's e-mails, Skyping them to co-ordinate classes, etc), you are observed by your boss at least twice a year plus Ceibal observes you another 2, possibly more (pre -obs form15 pgs long, post- obs form must be filled out in your own time too). If a classroom teacher who can harly speak English doesn't understand your accent because you are Scandinavian, South African, you can lbe invited to leave the program. That goes for any Ceibal observer who doesn't like any remote teacher. If you are not a native speaking teacher, be prepared to take the CPE and cover the costs even if you have a teacher's degree.
