Working in sports is brutal

Pros

Amazing (non paying) Perks Amazing People Amazing Experiences Amazing 401k/pension (but only VPs and execs can really take advantage of this because everyone else lives paycheck to paycheck)

Cons

Pay is beyond abysmal. After working here for a few years I had less than $500 dollars to my name when I moved on to a new job. However, this can be said for just about every entry level role in sports. The hours are very demanding and the pay for said work is laughable, well beyond legal minimum wage. No ability to grow internally. If you're lucky enough to get an entry level role, you're not advancing any further. They handpick managers from other teams and refuse to promote from within.
