      Unlimited resources (financial, technical, etc); knowledgeable and dedicated scientists leading labs, lab technicians/associates are highly skilled as well as hard working and eager to learn

      Cons

      Leadership of some therapeutic areas lack requisite scientific insight/knowledge/strategy and ability to integrate talent at level of labs; ultimately ineffective senior leadership

      Offers some of the best training in the industry Salary and benefits are second to none as far as Sales Jobs are concerned Employees overall are treated well with incentives through various contest, bonus cash awards, Recognition trips

      Cons

      Sales Report (GAR) was consistently inaccurate as often times Sales Representatives would have missing data that could hurt his or her rankings. It often takes investigating on the Sales Representatives behalf to insure that the data is accurate. If you are new to the Pharma Industry the training can be intense for the first 18 months. You will be in and out of New York or the Regional office in training which includes Test and Sales training. If you have a family life, it will not be very flexible during this time period Pharma Industry as a whole is going through constant downsizing and I see the Industry moving more from permanent employees to utilizing a Contract Sales Force so be prepared.

      Pros

      Pfizer provides lot of resources for their scientists, and many opportunities to learn and grow. Management encourages formation of cross-functional teams, where people from different disciplines can discuss and learn from each other. Pfizer offers great benefits including a pension plan.

      Cons

      Being a team oriented organization it might take multiple meetings to come to decisions. A lot of time is being spent on project meetings, sub-team meetings, face to face meetings, department meetings, telecons ....
