Pros

Talented people work there. Beautiful offices, lavish parties, fun atmosphere.

Cons

They work you to the bone. Pay is average. Management puts a lot of pressure on people to the point where many people have stories of crying and not being happy working there.

Pros

Relaxed environment Fun events Flexible core hours scheme Progression is possible if you work hard and embrace the company ethos Working from home is not frowned upon (depending on your manager)

Cons

Shocking lack of ethnic diversity especially in the senior managers of the business who are all white and mostly male Failure to address remuneration issues with longstanding staff Increasing influence from head office in France sees an overabundance of senior hires of French individuals who don't understand the local environment and are very cliquey Managers more concerned with managing upwards than having empathy or concern with their employees Work-life balance is a huge issue especially in Finance

Pros

Salary and benefits are ok for the industry, great brands and products, global reach with many locations worldwide, entrepreneurial spirit, big company events to engage employees

Cons

“Old” male chauvinist mindset : be ready as a woman to listen to very sexist comments, watch out for yourself during the office party times especially when attending the big sales conventions, maternity leave can unfortunately harm your career. Employees who get promotions and experience fast track careers at Pernod Ricard are typically middle aged white men, French origin most of the time.
