Pros

Interesting industry, great brands, lots of opportunities to see nightlife

Cons

Where to start.... If you have any aspirations on being a high-performing professional with a strong sense of work ethics and integrity, this is not the place for you. Do not expect to be rewarded for hard work, overdelivery or strong results. Do expect to see an astonishing amount of mediocre executives across senior ranks that seem mostly interested in looking out for themselves and kissing butt. Highly political and autqcratic work environment where senior executives take as their right to be verbally abusive towards their employees. Very little time is spent on making sure that the people WHO ACTUALLY DO THE WORK have the tools and the direction (not to mention the motivation) necessary to deliver company objectives. HR is a complete joke and only exist to enable management to get rid of people who are either too capable or not easily intimated. As a woman, expect to have to accept sexist comments on almost a daily basis. And the business continues to suffer.

Racist and bullying culture

Pros

Hybrid work arrangement and convenient work location at Raffles Place

Cons

French dominated the senior management and speaks in French in front of local employees all the time. Talks down and belittles local employees. Even HR is afraid of speaking up and tries to get into their good books by joining the bullying. HR is from HK and is notorious for being a big bully across Asia but nothing is done. Employees do not dare to complain because of fear of losing their jobs due to this extent of bullying.

Pros

Some nice brands Good benefits Nice London location

Cons

Snobby culture (you are looked down upon if you are nt a French speaker Only seem to hire french people or Irish people into management Very little diversity (ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ people, etc) Disorganised culture led by middle aged men who believe they know what is cool for much younger target audiences A complete disregard of the consumer of their products- whatever the the next most senior French man thinks is what goes regardless of whether or not consumer research says opposite A real culture of nepotism, far too many under-qualified people getting promotions based on who their friends are and definitely not on merit
