Pros

If you want to do nothing (actually literally- you don't even need to come to the office), enjoy perks like free liquor and don't mind being in an environment that is at least 10-years behind, lacks meritocracy and surrounded by management that has no clue on what they're doing, it isn't such a bad place

Cons

I don't even know where to start - inward looking culture that has clowns running the show. The HR, IT and Elyx are the biggest jokes in town. Every few years they'll do a reorganization- spin some positive stuff (hand out generous packages) but they keep on losing share. Yes they've Jameson - but it does well as they don't do anything to it. Paternalistic culture that keep having leaders that won't be hired even as Senior Managers at comparable organizations in the US. Bottom line - if you don't want to loose the skills you've and be in an depressing environment that lacks any sense of purpose, look elsewhere

Pros

Industry can be fun; there are happy hours at the NY offices every 2 weeks , employees get invited to brand and industry events.

Cons

Too many egos and not enough leadership. Many managers think they are leaders before they can show any results or impact in the company. Brand teams don't like to collaborate with each other. Sales and Marketing teams don't see eye to eye due to lack of collaboration and creates disagreements and disrespect. Executives are very focused at the company and industry performance and look into short term solutions but takes them a long time to execute them. Company does not like to take risks and it takes them forever to innovate. The company is not really focused on career growth for its employees. There is no regular training for employees.

Toxic and Racist Work Environment

Pros

Dedicated employees that believe in the future of PR brands and customers - despite overall environment that shows very little respect for employees where the belief is that current North American leadership has destroyed the heart, soul and values of the PRUSA/ PR NA company (direct feedback from employees)

Cons

Micro management - starting at the top - North America CEO & CMO Visible lack of trust for employees to do their jobs and make sound decisions - again, starting at the top - N.A. CEO, CMO, VPs Work Deadlines Take Priority Over Emotional Well-being (reached an all time high during Covid) High Employee Turnover N.A. CEO has created an environment of fear (also impacting global brand companies) Poor career advancement - unless you toe the party line and agree with senior management - no questions asked, no alternative points of view Racism towards African Americans and Latinos & Affinity bias rampant - external and internal DEI initiatives insincere
