      Well run company from a financial point of view but lacking strong marketing strategy and talent

      Pros

      Good company culture still very paternalistic. A large company with still a "family feeling" to it. Good work-life balance. Great industry. Great people that are nice to work with for the most part.

      Cons

      Promotions are still based on who you know and the promotions are not very frequent. Most of the GMs are still from finance and lack real marketing experience - which is the real challenge of the company in order to generate internal growth with existing brands. A lot of trial and error in terms of digital and innovation strategy - lack a strong vision for each of the strategic brands.

      Pros

      The brands and people at Pernod Ricard are second to none. The teamwork and bonds developed are fantastic and will last a lifetime. The pay, benefits, and perks are equal or better than beverage alcohol companies.

      Cons

      The company is heavily driven by results on a monthly and quarterly view. There is no patience and no long term vision to grow brands. This mentality creates many fire drills, duplication of efforts, and necessary work. The pace and pressure to work non stop is different from other beverage alcohol companies.
