Pros

Good benefits, flexible work schedules, good life balance. In addition my experience has been one of great growth and advancement. I have been fortunate to have good Line Managers who have helped me grow, develop and essentially help me get to where I want to go.

Cons

The actual work environment in RTP anyway has gone to the partial cube structure (where when you are at your desk you can see a sea of heads). It is very impersonal, very difficult to hold a TC without disturbing someone and there is NO PRIVACY what-so-ever. This alone has caused a drop in morale. Other cons: the previous comments from others about over work is true but I believe you will find this in all CRO nowadays if not all corporate; everyone is trying to get by with less. There is definite burnout but if you are a hard worker who continues to achieve and excel you will be rewarded.

A once great company is no more

Pros

Most of the every day work people are really helpful and nice. They do try to help even when they too are struggling with the overload of work being assigned. Some people really do care but are not in the position to make any changes to make things better. Working from home is an available option when needed.

Cons

The amount of work. This company is taking on more than the current staff can handle. When management is told, they blame the workers saying it is because they don't how to prioritize. Quality of work being produced is horrible. Some people try hard to make good quality but one person can not catch every single little mistake which starts adding up to bigger problems. Some people who don't make any extra effort or take advantage of their position are treated with extra perks where those who basically sacrifice their personal lives are not even thanked. Giving free fresh fruit on Mondays and Wednesdays with free bagels on Mondays is not a perk for someone who doesn't even touch it. That is not rewarding the excessive hours someone has given. The stress is extremely unbelievable and management doesn't even bat an eye. They think its normal and give the impression they are re-evaluating things. Please people can spot a liar a mile away and when they see no changes except more work and additional responsibly what is someone supposed to think? Theres no career growth. If you aren't liked, forget getting a promotion. You will never advance and are stuck being in a job where they will work you to death or you quit. Lunch breaks don't even exist.

Pros

Company has a really good benefit plan. You have the opportunity to work with some very smart and nice people.

Cons

Work environment is tense and unrewarding. External candidates tend to be hired rather than promoting from within. Compensation is on the lower end for the industry.
