Pros

-Good benefits offered compared to other companies. -A chance to learn the industry from a side you would not normally see.

Cons

-Across many of the departments, the morale is absolutely terrible. There is at times, an overwhelming feeling that you're "stuck" with very very little room for advancement with most promotions and accolades given based on office politics and those skilled at self-promotion. - There seems to be a strange mix of employees across most departments. You have youthful, energetic and ambitious 20 and 30 something year olds who work their butts off, go above and beyond what their job description entails and for the most part they continuously get nothing out of it. A BIG part of that is due to protectionist managers/directors, who fear the potential competition. On the other hand, you have employees who have no drive, no ambition and are only there to do the bare minimum and collect a paycheck. The ones with the drive and ambition leave after a year or two realizing that "career development" is something the company has to say/sell rather than actually act on it. The employees with no drive stay and are seen as representative for the dept as a whole and in turn everyone suffers. - Too many middle managers. It has been said before but can be said again. Some managers are being payed big $$$ to spend 70% + of their time sitting in meetings where they give virtually little to no input. It is a little out of hand - The "work from home" crowd, that has been increasing in numbers, has worked well for most people that are stationed all across the country, but is clearly being abused by others. How many times do we hear/see these individuals have laptop problems and they treat that a de facto day off? Try reaching one of these people when they are working from home -good luck!

Pros

This is the Cadillac of the industry in terms of training. You will learn a lot and learn it the right way. The facility is very nice and fellow employees are generally nice people and fun to work with.

Cons

I found it extremely stressful in terms of work life balance. The number of hours per week that line management expected an employee to work was unreasonable, especially for salaried employees. It was not at all unusual to be working 12 hour days and then they still wanted more. Employees who chose to work their standard 40 hours were harrassed by line management and made to feel like they would lose their job. It was very stressful from that perspective.
