Pros

The benefits are phenomenal. Additionally, the work environment is exciting as the latest country, R & B, and pop acts often find their way to the office to share their music. It is a fun environmet and special events are always happening.

Cons

Middle managers ruin the joy of the company. The do not always convey the heart of senior management. They drive away more talent for the sake of advancing their individual agendas and careers.

Pros

The brands are highly recognizable. This makes CBS Interactive (esp CNET) an attractive place as a stepping stone to a different company.

Cons

- No career advancement if you are at any point but just starting your career - Failure of senior leadership to grow middle managers - Poor employee recognition - Middle managers provide terrible leadership and are politically concerned to the point where they show little to no concern for direct reports (this is systemic, no group appears to be immune). - Product development is weak. There is no focus and senior management appears incapable of correcting this despite recognition of the problem.
