Very cool office. Low workload (also a con). Also, being able to put MTV / Viacom on my resume led to more opportunities down the road. Incredibly friendly HR staff as well.

Cons

Almost no useful / educational / interesting tasks were given in the CMI department internship. Despite my best efforts, I wasn't able to learn much about the industry or the company. I mostly sent off pre-written emails for an executive assistant and never even saw the head of the department. Opportunities to assist higher level employees, sit in on more legit work, etc. were slim to none.

Pros

Stable company with good benefits and still some good people remaining.

Cons

Technology initiatives mostly squashed in favor of off the shelf products. Many high paid engineers with solid experience and loyalty to the company forced out via layoffs or their projects being shut down. Not too much interesting work remaining except your basic web development with php. Used to develop and open source products like solr and maintain one of the most cutting edge ad serving platforms in the business. Now struggling to have a basic cms working properly. No process to speak of - disorganized mish mash of meetings that is called agile

No longer a nice place to work. No more emphasis on creativity or personal growth. Poor executive management. Greedy people on top. No longer offers any work/life balance. Poor compensation. Too political.
