The main office is located in Times Square, which can be a challenging area to work because of traffic/tourists, but at least it has access to most public transportation.

Pros

The company has great benefits and takes care of its employees. Firm believer in diversity when it comes to hiring. Forward thinking and fun work environment that promotes and rewards creativity.

Cons

The company is great to its employees... until the numbers don't add up and the managers don't hit their budgets. Then the layoffs come and it can be brutal. Diversity in the work place does not include age. Once you hit 50 your days are numbered. There's never been a retirement party at Viacom. NIckelodeon is on firm ground, but the rest of their cable networks are on thin ice. The rise of Netflix, Hulu and the cord cutting amongst their former core audience has created a downward spiral, not helped by the poor programming development over the past decade across the board. The current CEO has two years to turn it around.

Pros

Good benefits, nice HR department, delicious coffee in the lobby. Fun events-

Cons

Poor management- No training or time dedicated to new hires- Teams do not interact with one another- everyone is in a silo There was literally a time I was screamed at because a program was broken on my manager's computer?! How does that make any sense...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We agree, our coffee is delicious! But, we are disheartened to hear that you felt there was a lack of support from management during your time at CBSi. We also fully agree that it takes certain qualities to be a great manager. With this in mind, our learning team has taken these qualities into consideration when developing several manager specific training sessions over the past year. Although we are disappointed that your experience didn’t align with our standards, we appreciate the feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we continually improve.
