Pros

I was lucky to work with many dedicated, qualified, intelligent people to in a fun environment. The pay and hours for my position were both decent.

Cons

Tried to be marketing driven, but typically ended up engineering-driven. Unfortunately, this meant shifting gears constantly to change products to match engineer capabilities or interests instead of customer/audience needs.

on site cafeteria (convenience only, food is gross), overtime for some positions, ability to work with different people but they've all been there for years and years

Cons

times square location is a nightmare, no room for upward growth, no promotions, made to feel replaceable constantly

Pros

Great benefits, some great projects, lots of flexitime and cool events and some great experiences, pro-social initiatives. If you're starting out this is a great place to start your career. Having MTV on your resume does still open doors.

Cons

Budgets are tight but this does not apply to some Execs spending - who seem to spend their budgets like personal cash, whilst others are fighting for a few dollars. People in positions of seniority with a lack of management ability. A lack of visibility.
