Pros

Very good health benefits, nice work/life balance, remote working option, plenty of training opportunities, good bonus, technology is very good, there are some very talented people working at Paramount

Cons

The CBS culture has taken over and it's very toxic and cut-throat. If you are not from the CBS legacy side, your career will end sooner than you like and you will be viewed as an outcast. Salaries tend to be on the lower side. Some promotions clearly based on how well-connected you are, not whether it's been truly earned. Doesn't help your career if you are an older employee and you can't be your true self without repercussions.

Pros

You get to work on iconic IP and brands, but it's not worth the cost of the constant anxiety of whether you will be laid off or cut; and constantly questioning if you can trust anyone or if they will end up throwing you under the bus.

Cons

Horrible toxic culture, it's a game of thrones environment, leadership has no regard for the value of their employees or their mental well-being, decisions are made based on favoritism. People hoard information, contacts, relationships, and are extremely fake.

Pros

You can go a whole day of work with out doing anything and they have random get togethers where there will be free food occasionally but that was also pre-pandemic. Honestly, the only pro is having a job and getting paid. I felt very worthless at this company.

Cons

They like to project ideals that they don't actually own up to. There is definitely two different tiers of employees and it gets really awkward because contract employees do not have the same rights as full-time employees. While pay seems fine as a number you need to keep in mind you're in places like Los Angeles or New York City, so a six figure salary still doesn't afford rent for a good place in the area. You'll have to commute if you want a decent place to live because the area is by the office are so expensive and they're not paying you enough to be able to afford it even though you might be making six figures. They do tons of diversity training to project diversity, but ultimately there's a considerable divide. Lots of trying to be an ally but no true actions.
