Pros

Great people and great benefits

Cons

Lots of layoffs/jobs get dissolved and work is redistributed. Hard to move up at this point.

Pros

There are so many wonderful, high-skilled, highly-trained people working all across the company, especially in IT. They are always willing to help talking through technical issues and challenges to solve problems. There are so many mentors ready to set aside some time to teach you new things and help you master them. All I have ever had to do was take the initiative to reach out and ask. Paramount provided amazing benefits and career advancement opportunities, both upward and laterally. When they have to make staff reductions, it is not personal, it is purely business. They provide generous severance packages and career services to help aid in the transition to new opportunities.

Cons

Paramount is a Cable and Television media company whose income is based primarily on ad revenues. When revenues drop, they do as many large corporations and have make cutbacks.
