Unfortunately, it's really hit or miss here because of Paramount's annual tradition of restructuring and layoffs. You'll have one good boss one year and then they'll restructure to get rid of some people and you'll report to someone else the next year.
Also, the annual purging makes people very insecure of their future since layoffs happen with really no rhyme or reason. Layoffs seem to happen whether you've been here 8 years or 8 months.
Disorganization and lack of innovation starts from the top. We aren't challenged, rewarded or even encouraged to do new creative work. Just see what other studios have done and then figure out how we can replicate.
Promotions aren't based on merit but on who you know and who's butt you kiss.
