Pros

As of now, market leader in IFE No micro-management Near flexible work hours Unlimited sick days Very difficult to get laid off/fired unless you totally screwed up. Low hiring standard makes it easy to get in, especially for mediocre engineers. Most people are friendly to work with.

Cons

In-flight entertainment systems are becoming less significant as more passengers are bringing their own tablets and laptops which only need Wi-Fi to Internet. Very difficult to move up even a single level and get a descent raise. You have a better chance of getting them outside the company. Employee performance review is horrible and very biased. Even if you did solid job but if your boss doesn't like you then your performance score gets screwed. The company needs to put in 360 and peer reviews for fairness. Full of complacent long timers who like to keep status quo and stopped innovating. Very hard to move laterally within the company.

Pros

Good Benefits. The total package is very good

Cons

Environment. When Joe Taylor said "He would never put people in harm's way" at a town hall meeting It appears thet was not true. He also said "Newark is safer than New York city". Sorry both cases are not true. As to the first the new facility is next door to a Methadone Clinic in the Joe Pepe building next door. AND last week a female employee was accosted on the linkway connecting the building with NJ Penn Station. And as to the second point, IF you research crime stats you will find that Newark is MUCH more dangerous than New York City in just about every category of crime. The bottom line is that Secaucus was FAR SAFER than the new location. Penn Station is a den of homeless and beggars as well. Thanks for "placing us in harm's way afterall.
