Pros

Great pay. Lots of overtime availability. 3 and 4 day work weeks. 12 hr shifts. Free snacks and cereal provided. Food trucks on site for dayshift. Restaurants in the facility for all shifts. Learn different skills from other departments. Work with Japan's Panasonic employees and learn some Japanese and technical machine knowledge. The techs from Japan were truly wonderful to work with. You will develop strong relationships with some of your coworkers due to the large number of employees. Company Christmas party was always a blast.

Cons

Note: this was my experience over 4 years ago. They may have changed since then. Company provided work phone which is used to contact you at all hours of the day or night, even when not scheduled to work. Adaptation will be required almost daily. Some managers tend to manipulate the less intelligent into doing something or changing jobs without the employee being required to adhere to the request. Politics, politics, politics. Daily stress and regular unhappiness. Implement safety practices to make OSHA happy but not follow them if it hinders production. Punishement if you alert the Safety department of an unsafe issue that could hinder production. Makes production promises it cant keep. Water and bathrooms are far away from working areas. Building is so large and filled with "Clean Room" departments, it can take a while to get off the production floor and then walk down the long halls to the restroom. Takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from your car to your department. Japanese and American employees can sometimes offend eachother unintentionally due to culture and can cause some arguments and disruptions in meetings. Lack of planning for project purchases. DEI hiring. Inability to fire people due to their DEI status even when the firing cause is for racism, time theft, inability to perform job, and inability to work well with others. Middle Management destroyed some perks that were meant for lower level employees by abusing the perks for themselves. That is more of an oversight issue than a company wide issue.
