Pros

In the ops leadership program, you get a faced-paced and challenging work experience. You learn a lot in 4 different leadership positions in 4 different departments. Before COVID, there was a lot of opportunity for travel and opportunity to get certifications in DBS (Danaher's version of Six Sigma).

Cons

The culture isn't great. Unless they changed something in recent years, you get sent to a random Pall location and don't have much say as to what state you're placed in. In the actual manufacturing facilities, you have to earn respect since you're probably going to be the youngest one in the building. That can be hard, especially when you're managing floor associates that have been working there for 30+ years and you're asking them to change the way they do things. The plants that I worked at did not handle COVID well at all. They underpay and don't treat floor associates very well - like most manufacturing facilities. Don't expect happy hours/free lunches or anything like that. Overall, if you're set on working in the manufacturing world (which I think is pretty tough anywhere) then OLP is a great opportunity. Manufacturing just wasn't the fit for me, however.
