Pros
Many opportunities for movement within Danaher operating companies. Interesting customers lead to interesting projects. Danaher Business System (DBS) is an excellent learning experience.
Cons
Since Danaher purchased, a lot of the perks of working for Pall have gone away: no longer have end of year break, employee bbq gone, shorter vacation schedule. Backlog when I left was so high, shop floor employees were asked to work overtime as standard and on some standard holidays. A lot of DBS/Kaizen projects with unnoticeable change. Management, as investigated by HR, found to be retaliating against employees with no corrective action. Employee engagement is discussed at survey time then ignored the rest of the year. New Port Richey campus still has asbestos in the building. There was even a sign warning people entering the room of asbestos. Office employees were actually moved to this area as well if you can believe it. Metrics for performance are not thought out and anything above "Meets Expectations" is near impossible to achieve (as confirmed by a VP).
