Pros

No pros to speak of

Cons

They can dismiss you for no reason whatsoever. This company does not protect their employees at all, the bottom line of money is all that matters. They can strip you of your benefits at a moment's notice. In Toronto you are treated like a traffic cone, nothing more nothing less. Complaint was laid to HR re: workplace harassment and nothing was done about it at all, no witnesses were ever interviewed

Thank you for your review. Please note that in order to remain on our benefits plan, an employee must maintain a minimum of 60 hours bi weekly. Should an employee no longer meet this requirement, he or she would then be notified and advised to increase his or her hours. Failing to do so would result in the employees benefits to be terminated.

Pros

- They get big contracts. - Some sort of Benefits, nothing amazing though. - lots of work and at times - do hire really good employees but they don't stay long.

Cons

- The Pay is awful for the kind of work it is. Most Paladin contracts are hospitals and hospitals are not an easy lazy security job. You'll be put at risk of your health at hospitals just being there along with deranged patients that might try to assault you for minimum wage? it's laughable. I honestly started flipping burgers after I had enough with Paladin's nonsense. I was 30 years old flipping burgers and getting better hours that were less demanding on my body and overall mental and physical health then I was working for Paladin. What a sad stay of life I was in... I pulled myself out of the gutter after working for Paladin because I wasnt saving any money at all and on the brink of being homeless because I needed the "experience" and it was all for nothing because Private Security is a joke and it doesn't make you anymore presentable for applying to a police organization than someone out of highschool. - They'll put you in bad situations. Risk your health, risk your financial situation and risk your credibility just to make a profit. Paladin's worst thing is when they discipline you they don't just talk to you. They cut out your hours completely. When you have to pay bills and you honestly are having a falling out with them because of the bad scheduling and its mostly their fault... it's like adding salt to the wound with Paladin. They would rather you go homeless then be able to pay your bills so you can get formed and wind up in a mental institution they have another minimum wage Security Guard look after so they can keep the cycle of despair for profit alive and running strong. Useless union that is nearly impossible to get a hold of if you have any issues with management like I did.
