Pros

-none, as the fourth largest company in Canada you should also be one of the best to work for. Yet you insist on paying us guards barley enough to survive.

Cons

-Terrible pay, I make $11/h to work in a hospital alone with no back up. -Forcing employees to work overtime -They see you as a number, not a person -Any attempt to unionize is quickly snuffed out by management -Constantly bullshitting employees about why they can't have a pay raise -Suck the life out of good people

Pros

3 days paid sick leave per year. Health and dental benefits, but only if you are hired for a full time position. (good luck with that!)

Cons

This company encourages feed back from employees, but in reality will use it against them to weed out employees who question the integrity and work ethics of the power tripping management.

Thank you. As one of the largest full service security companies in Canada, our belief in promoting from within, coupled with our strong record of growth, has provided countless opportunities for our members - from part-time to full-time employees - to grow within our company. With our extensive training programs and impressive growth, members of Paladin can easily develop a successful career path within our company. Additionally, most security companies charge their employees for the training that they provide them with, and make them pay for their own security licenses. They also make them pay for uniform deposits. Paladin Security is different. We pay all the up-front and ongoing costs for your security license, your uniform and your training which, in many cases, can add up to thousands of dollars per employee per year. Our Employee Benefit Program is also without peer in the industry, and we additionally provide numerous bonuses at each branch on a monthly basis for performance-related service. Check out the 'What our people say' videos on our website paladinsecurity.com for employee feedback, in their own words.

Thank you for your review. If you go to the 'What our people say' section of our website paladinsecurity.com, or check out the videos on our YouTube channel PaladinSecurityTV, you will see that most of our managers - including our CEO - actually joined our company as Security Officers. We pride ourselves on listening closely to our people. Not only do we hold regularly scheduled site meetings, Site Supervisor meetings and management meetings, but we also conduct extensive employee surveys at least once a year. The ‘Paladin Report Card’ solicits advice and suggestions from our staff on how we can improve the delivery of our services – both internal services, such as administering our benefits plan, and external services, such as providing security to a site. We are a company that believes in constant and never ending improvement and the motivation for change comes from both our clients and our people. This is the foundation upon which Paladin was built and one of the reasons why our company has grown so fast. If you would like to discuss any ideas with us, as Paladin’s Corporate Communications & Social Media Manager, I am available via email at rhealy@paladinsecurity.com.
