Poor management

Pros

Colleagues are engaging and supportive, there's a great office atmosphere, nice team build activities and monthly outings, good company name to have on CV.

Cons

Chaotic environment, disconnect between teams, careless upper management, show off CEO with no clue on how to lead. Not a good place to thrive and share ideas. They want people that bow down and do as told.

Pros

Back when I joined in 2018 it was a great company - we had a lot of fun and worked on solving real issues. Even now, with all the changes the company has been through, your peers are (mostly) great. And you can learn interesting stack if you end up in the "right" teams (not on core systems that are old).

Cons

There's a significant level of confusion regarding how to execute conflicting strategies coming from the upper management - the priorities change all the time. The management team keeps on changing and not for the good. Each of them brings new ideas, and stops the progress that was done by predecessor. It's just like you see in politics. Engineering culture means you need to be available at all times for any incident that might come up. There's no bonus structure, no equity, nothing except for your base salary. And that is reviewed only once a year.
