Pros

nice company, great location, decent pay for entry level position, overtime

Cons

High school environment; co-workers will talk behind you back, long hours, if you are minority, they all fire you VERY easily, so WATCH OUT!

Pros

None unless you enjoy being abused and overworked . And are willing to put up with antiquated social rules and bigotry.

Cons

Everything to hate is available to all. Bigots, disorganization, insufficient supplies, wasting money, poor management , no training, no support, no clue about illegal work practices. Horrible management that constantly changed rules and told me I had to work overtime because the other employee in that position was married with a child. Manager openly expressed his dislike for African Americans and had no people skills. Overall, terribly organized and I was told by more than one group leader that I shouldn't worry about saving money because they just billed the client company. Use any of the other companies but avoid ppd like the plague!

Pros

The Home based opportunity is the only benefit to working at PPD. Employees stay only because they can work from home.

Cons

Very impersonal company. You are just a number. Senior leadership for Global Medical Writing and Post Approval Medical Writing are completely incompetent leaders. Post approval medical writing is unable to win new contracts based on bids they submit. Management creates a hostile environment of intimidation and threats. Those who brown nose or pretend to be working except they are at the gym everyday can easily climb the ladder. Those who offer suggestions or ask questions are not afforded growth opportunities. Multiple years of service with no career advancement is typical. Retribution for speaking up is common
