Pros

No pros to this company

Cons

Time clocks- if your a minute late 0.1 is coming off of your pay. No grace period. I worked at PAE for almost 4 years and was stuck in the same position. I tried to advance in my career but my program manager would not let me move up. I had multiple interviews within the company ( at least 5). What made me finally leave was when they made me train another employee and moved them up to a higher position (that I had been applying for and interviewed for) within 6 months. And then had to nerve to ask me to train another new hire!!!

Pros

I have a job. And a paycheck

Cons

1. They have stopped giving us sick leave, all missed time is vacation. 2. 401k is NOT company matched. You match yourself 3. All "company provided" benefits actually come out of your own pocket, not the company. 4. HR does not handle 401k, medical, dental, short of long term disablity, fmla or any other issues. They out source it and force you to pay additional fees for that to happen. 5. All "Open Door" talks with HR or upper managment must be scheduled and reason given to your supervisor of what needs to be discussed.

Pros

If you are desperate for a job and just need a paycheck then this is a good job for you. Pay is $12.95 an hour plus $4 an hour for benefits, but you have to use that money for benefits like healthcare and 401k. If you are making minimum wage now, with no benefits then this is a good job for you. Supervisors and managers on site are not bad, it seems like everyone above them is asinine and insane.

Cons

It is possible to work your way up, but be careful because the closer you get to corporate the more frightening it gets. Being a GC1 you can come in, put in your headphones, get your work done and go home, no stress, no drama. If you work any job above a GC1 prepare to be amazed by lack of training, leadership, or just plain knowledge of anyone around you. The people on site are knowledgeable, but their hands seemed tied by those at corporate, I have heard some SCARY stories about those that work at corporate that literally SCREAM at their subordinates on the phone. No one should be treated that way. It seems to me that corporate thinks they are God's gift to earth and everyone else is a an expendable slave. The work is physical. If you can not stand or sit for long periods of time, or lift a 40 lb. box repeatedly then this is not a job for you. Definitely not a "typical" work environment as you are inside a government facility. Heavily micromanaged- but this comes from corporate, you can't really fault your supervisor
